Many people consume oatmeal for breakfast since it fills you, is a very healthy option (better than a certain egg sandwich you can get at fast food restaurants) and can be very delicious if you put the right stuff in it. What many people don't know, though, is that you can incorporate oatmeal in other areas of your meals and are very delicious ideas, take my word for it.
One way you can incorporate it in to your diet if you don't like oatmeal because it reminds you of old people or because you think it's nasty for breakfast is as a snack. How? You can incorporate it into yogurts, as I will let you know how below. Feel free to use it in any other ways and let me know how it comes out.
Yogurt With Oatmeal And Fruits
Ingredients for 1 serving:
- 1/2 cup flavorless yogurt, or homemade yogurt if you like
- 1/2 of a banana, sliced
- 1/2 of an apple, cubed
- 1/2 of a plum, cubed
- A handful of raw oatmeal
- Honey to taste
***You can use any fruits you'd like, but these are the ones I like using the most
- Add yogurt to a cup or bowl and top off with fruits.
- Place oatmeal on top of fruits; add honey to taste.
- Mix or not and enjoy!
There are many ways you can enjoy oatmeal, it doesn't have to be limited to breakfast, as you can see. I personally like oatmeal better with my yogurt than as a breakfast, so you can go ahead and experiment and see how you like yours. I encourage you to try different ways and let me know how it came out, I may even post your recipes if you want : )
